Share your health story. Help others and shape clinical research.
Are you facing an illness? Helping a loved one with a new diagnosis? Hoping to develop a research project that can improve health or healthcare? Share your story with the Story Booth Study today to help others understand what it is like to experience health problems or to access the health system.
The University of Pittsburgh and their collaborators are conducting a research study and want to know about experiences with health and illness and how it affects people’s health or healthcare access. By hearing your story, we hope to focus research on topics that are important to patients and have potential to improve health and healthcare. Using MyPaTH Story Booth, patients can record a conversation to share with researchers. Let them know what it's like to live with your health issue, what you would like health care professionals to know when they care for someone with a diagnosis like yours, or what experiences you have had with the health care system, among other topics.
Story sharing is just a recorded conversation. There are just 3 easy steps!
There is no "right" or "wrong" story: We are interested in the story you want to tell.
There is no "right" or "wrong" way to tell your story: Some people know just how they want to tell their story, while others prefer to review our list of optional “prompts” and choose questions that they would like to be asked.
Your story can be long or short: Stories vary in length, but we ask that you keep each story to no longer than 20 minutes long. Overall, the process of sharing your story can take about an hour. We will talk with you about how we may share your story and ask a few questions to make sure you understand and agree. We will also ask you a few survey questions to learn more about you.
Fill out the following form and a member of the Story Booth team will follow up with you.
